i can’t believe how my year had went. i can’t believe the decisions i’ve made, the things (and people) i’ve given up, and all that i have gotten in return. it’s as though life has found a breaking point and it has actually become unpredictable.
so much for being in control huh. I WEAR MY STUNNA GLASSES AT NIGHT
tonight i’m having a quiet new year’s eve. soong, shaun and i are going to shisha our way into 2009 and chill. just chill and stop bopping, running for a while.
it’s funny because last night i had supper with steven, whom just more than a month ago i had so vehemently cursed at in my sleep for being such an irresponsible prick, and also to somewhat lessen my own guilt for participating in what happened in peninsula. even funnier is how he showed up at my place driving the absolutely charming audi tt, leaving me literally agape as we proceeded to the nearby coffee shop for teh.
after that he humoured me with a short drive around my area, which was just plain exciting because i was sitting in my dream car! maybe one day i’ll be able to afford my own little darling, probably second-hand and vintage. mmmmm.
finally i am home! where i have internet that actually allows me to blog!
not to say shanghai is a bad place. have to say that i didn’t totally enjoy it initially, but the company really makes a difference. and tang baos (soup dumplings or xiaolongbaos) for 4 yuan, which is like 80 cents sgd. in fact if you dare you can live on 15 yuan a day for 3 meals, live on relishing the grey skies and fabulous war-like shopping experiences all over. and i will let my pictures be your eyes today.
